I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, have a scroll through my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!
Where were you able to get your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
I snagged a pair take a tour to Golden Goose for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.
How does the sizing run?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also look great.

Where did you score your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How much do they run?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Do they fit as expected?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They only needed minimal break-in time.
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
